TrueConez

Make real cones in trueSpace

Why is this plugin needed? Have you ever looked at the object info panel of a standard TrueSpace Cone? If we have a four sided cone we'd expect 5 faces, one for each side and the base. However TrueSpace cones actually have an extra face at the apex with each vertex being at point <0,0,2>. Also, each side face has four edges, even the top ones which meet at the apex which should have three. Now, why is this you ask? I'm not entirely sure but during the development of TrueConez I disovered a few things. (1) It's a hell of a lot easier to code the UV map for a standard TrueSpace cone than it is for a TrueCone, (2) it's easier to create a cone where all but the base face have four edges. Mixing three and four edged faces in an object is more difficult to code. Also, quadrangle faces are also probably more efficient for TrueSpace to process (Don't quote me on that).
